Hossein Eidizadeh is a film critic and historian, international consultant at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, and translator based in Tehran, Iran. He is focused on art-house and independent cinema, especially films in languages other than English. He regularly contributes to film magazines, newspapers, and journals in Iran. His writings on Iranian cinema and world cinema have appeared in English, Italian, Spanish, and Polish in Sight & Sound, Senses of Cinema, 8 1/2 Magazine, Kinoscope, Keyframe, MUBI Notebook, and Indiewire. As a jury member, he has previously attended Tbilisi IFF, Viennale, Berlinale, and PÖFF Shorts.
