Dr. Dinara Maglakelidze has graduated from Ivane Javakhisvili Tbilisi State University and Humboldt University of Berlin. She has also finished a post-graduate study of the Academy of Science of Georgia and a Study of doctor’s degree at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg and the Humboldt University of Berlin. At the Humboldt University of Berlin she upheld a doctorial thesis on the theme: National Identity in the Western German and Georgian Authoring Cinema /Comparative analysis/ Dr. Dinara Maglakelidze is performing scientific work in Georgia and Federal Republic of Germany. She is participating in international cinema symposiums and seminars, was one of the members of jury at the international film festivals: goEast, Prix-Europa, Filmkunstfest. She has also published scientific articles about the history and the theory of the cinema, modern European Cinema in German and Georgian languages. Dr. Dinara Maglakelidze was a Chief Editor of FilmPrint Magazine 10. The main sphere of her scientific research is modern European auteur cinema and the problems of interculturalism and gender in European film. Dr. Dinara Maglakelidze is the member of FIPRESCI, she is also a board member of Georgian Film Academy. Since 2017 Dr. Dinara Maglakelidze is Media Strand Coordinator of Creative Europe Desk Georgia.
